My name is Shaun Brady, the braun and the brains behind SBDJ Services, MCR Photobooths, as well as the Company Director of Ultimate Productions LTD. I’m a self employed freelance musician, always looking for new challenges and unique ways to develop myself doing the things I love. I enjoy listening to many different styles of music, tinkering on my saxophone and exploring with my partner Lauren in our classic 1989 mini! There is nothing better however, than playing my part in customers productions, weddings, events or recordings - it's my pleasure to provide these services and I'm so happy to say that I genuinely love what I do!
I graduated from the University of Salford with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Popular Music and Recording!
Ultimate Productions LTD was created! After the merge of SBDJ Services and MCR Photobooths, it was time to design a business structure which allowed my businesses to develop both individually, as well as alongside other great suppliers in the events and entertainment industries.
MCR Photobooths is now under new management! I made the decision to take over this already established business, to enhance my own start-up, formerly SBDJ Photobooths. It meant that I could provide another dimension to my events business, providing customers with additional services along with great prices!
One of the proudest moments in my career - the appearance of SBDJ Services at The National Wedding Show, Manchester. Setting up our stand and chatting to customers who soaked up our deals was such an amazing experience. The buzz of the show was something else, and it was so great to chat with other suppliers and see the company which I'd grown from the ground thriving amongst specialists in their field!
To be pro-active in helping the community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, I began a temporary role as a delivery driver for Argos. With the quiet surrounding the events industry, it was a great opportunity for me to work flexibly alongside my business commitments.
I began my role as a Sound / AV Technician at William Hulme's Grammar School in Manchester. I've always worked closely and have great a professional relationship with the United Learning Trust, and this opportunity really lent itself to my expertise. I love the challenge of setting up unique events for different types of student ensembles, and it's amazing to be able to share my knowledge as a teacher of Music Technology in the upper school.
It was time to expand my team, and add new entertainers and DJ's. After advertising the position I stumbled upon Garry Pepper. He's a great addition to our team, a fantastic DJ and a reliable partner to cover additional events which doubled our availability!
I built our first Photobooth! Now known as MCR Photobooths, I originally built our first booth as an add-on for our DJ packages, which was known as SBDJ Photobooths.
I was approached by Grosvenor Casinos, who were keen to involve SBDJ Services in their weekly entertainment programme. I became the Official Resident DJ at Grosvenor Casino, Didsbury. It quickly became a popular night, and our events constantly grow in popularity with themed nights, tribute artists and even talent shows. Not to mention, record breaking feedback and higher capacities than ever seen!
I left my part-time retail job to become a full time freelance musician, so that I could focus on my studies and managing my small business.
SBDJ Services was born! After DJ'ing a friends 18th Birthday Party, the bookings came rolling in and Shaun Brady DJ Services was in business!
I began my studies at the University of Salford on the Popular Music and Recording course. I secured the principal saxophone seat in the University Big Band which I held for three years, and was appointed a resident sax position in the house band at the Student Union.
